Why do you love yoga, pilates and barre?

I have done yoga for over 20 years and every time I come to the mat I learn something new about how my body moves and how it connects to my thoughts and emotions. I love yoga because it always has something to offer me no matter where I am in my life. It never lets me down.

What are you listening to right now, music or podcasts?

Ed Sheeran (Perfect)

Where’s your favourite place in the world to be?

Scotland UK

What are you top hobbies?

Gardening and Traveling

If you could pass along a little wisdom what would it be?

Follow your heart and listen to that small voice guiding you through life’s challenges. You have the answers and wisdom within yourself, trust it. This has not always been easy for me but I am working hard on trusting myself and standing in my truth.

 

What’s your favourite meal?

Does Avocado count as a meal?

Most likely not, so I guess I would say Vegetarian Mexican food. I have been vegetarian for 35 years and the last year have been trying to be vegan, this is definitely a work in progress but I will get there.

 

What’s your favorite book, essential oil, quote or all of the above and why?

The outlander series is a nice escape from the real world.

 Frankincense is most definitely my most grounding essential oil. It seems to touch a place in my soul that remembers who I am and where I have come from.

 

When you’re not working/teaching in the studio, where can you be found?

My home is definitely my safe place, and I love to just settle in and relax. Also, enjoying time with my friends and family.

 

How did you find yoga, pilates or barre?

I found Yoga over 20 years ago in a little class being taught in a spa in Chilliwack. It was something I had never experienced before and have loved it since. I also practiced pilates for many years and had a love/hate relationship with it but saw great results, but life got so busy I had to let it go.

 

What is your favourite thing about being a part of the Studio B Team?

Just that, being a part of the Team! It is so great being connected with like minded women who are so smart and gifted. Every time we come together as a group I come away feeling grateful and blessed to be part of this community. Thank you for all the guidance and grace shared with me over the past year.
